The viewing surface has two steel rods on either side covered with PVC sleeving. There is a handle for suspension on any hook or stand. These screens are light weight and has to be manually unwound/ wound. It comes with plastic cover. As the name suggest, map type, these type of projector screens simply have to be hooked on a wall or a stand. These screens are ideal for entry level projection needs due to their low cost and portability.
Map Type Screens are used mainly in schools, colleges, site office, factories where permanent installation is not possible for a projector screen.
